Annandale is a city in Wright County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,228 at the 2010 census.[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.703 square miles (7.00 km2), all of it land.

Minnesota State Highways 24 and 55 are two of the main routes in the city.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 2,684 people, 1,098 households, and 698 families residing in the city. The population density was 990.3 people per square mile (382.4/km²). There were 1,163 housing units at an average density of 429.1 per square mile (165.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.50% White, 0.37% African American, 0.19% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.30% from other races, and 1.38% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.97% of the population. 43.0% were of German, 10.8% Norwegian, 8.3% Swedish, 7.4% Irish and 5.9% Finnish ancestry according to Census 2000.

There were 1,098 households out of which 33.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.6% were married couples living together, 11.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.4% were non-families. 31.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 3.03.

In the city the population was spread out with 27.3% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 29.1% from 25 to 44, 17.9% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 88.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.0 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $37,929, and the median income for a family was $48,667. Males had a median income of $35,223 versus $25,161 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,876. About 9.1% of families and 12.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 17.8% of those under age 18 and 12.9% of those age 65 or over.
